The European Researchers’ Night is an annual celebration of science and innovation, bringing together researchers, scientists, and the public to showcase cutting-edge projects that aim to address some of the most pressing global challenges. In September 29th 2023, at Nova university of lisbon, MAR2PROTECT and LIFE-4-FGASES will stand in the spotlight, shedding light on their groundbreaking efforts to combat climate change and mitigate human activities’ impact on groundwater contamination and greenhouse gas emissions.

MAR2PROTECT, the European project focused on sustainable groundwater management, and LIFE-4-FGASES, which concentrates on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, teamed up to present their innovative multi-level methodologies. These methodologies are designed to prevent the adverse effects of climate change and human activities on groundwater contamination while simultaneously working towards the reduction of greenhouse gases.

Both MAR2PROTECT and LIFE-4-FGASES will emphasize the importance of collaboration between researchers, institutions, and the public to tackle these global challenges effectively. By sharing their methodologies and insights at the European Researchers’ Night 2023, they hope to inspire others to join the cause and work together for a more sustainable and resilient planet.
