CIS Workshop: Groundwater Monitoring in the context of Climate Change

Climate Change will invariably bring new challenges to the achievement of good groundwater status both from a quantitative and qualitative perspective. Monitoring of the impact of these new challenges is important to guide the development of mitigation and adaptation measures in the River Basin Management Plans, and will require new technologies and methodologies to support the current monitoring frameworks envisaged in the Water Framework Directive.

WG Members organize a workshop in order to encourage the presentation of best-practices of monitoring systems from Member States, as well as provide links with research initiatives under EU-funded programmes such as Horizon Europe and COST being undertaken by institutions in the respective Member States.
