MAR2PROTECT has been invited by the European Commission (DG Research & Innovation and DG Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) and the European Research Executive Agency (REA) to participate in a cluster meeting on 14 September 2026, bringing together Horizon Europe projects working on ocean and water research and innovation.
The webinar is part of a series of thematic consultations supporting the development of the future European Ocean and Water Research & Innovation Strategy, announced under the European Ocean Pact and the EU Water Resilience Strategy.
Recognised as a relevant Horizon Europe initiative, MAR2PROTECT will contribute its expertise during the session dedicated to Protecting and Restoring Ocean Health. The discussions will focus on identifying future research needs and gaps, exploring actions to strengthen research and innovation, and promoting the uptake, scaling, and deployment of innovative solutions.
By participating in this consultation, MAR2PROTECT will help ensure that the knowledge, experiences, and lessons learned throughout the project contribute to shaping future European policies and research priorities for healthier, more resilient marine and coastal ecosystems.
